OUI was disappearing when evoked. We have installed the CRS with the work around given below. Once it is completed, when trying to run vipca.bat it was showing the following error.

Solution : -

This is a known issue with Montecito Processor family. Download patch 5391050 and run the supplied setup.exe to install the Montecito JDK and JRE patch into the CRS_HOME (If you are installing RAC) or DB_HOME on each node of the cluster.

For RAC you need to install on all the nodes. Once the patching is done, open a comand prompt and change directory to install media and type the following command.

Repeat the installation on the remaining nodes

Now run the Clusterware Setup as follows providing the jre location.
Start a command prompt and Go to the Software Location. Type

F:\Oracle_Setup\Clusterware>Setup –jreLoc C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\crs\jre\1.4.2

Assuming that the software location is F:\Oracle_Setup\Clusterware and the patch has been installed on C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\crs

Now you will be able to proceed with the RAC / DB installation from the OUI.

Now you need to edit the vipca.bat and modify the JRE_HOME and the java executable path.
