Required Telecommunication Engineer BSS Implementation - Wataniya Telecom - Qtel Group in Kuwait

The purpose of the role is to contribute technical expertise and to perform a range implementation activities within the Company’s sites and installations which supports the development of Wataniya Telecom’s  GSM network. Execute acceptance of a system or sub system in Wataniya Telecom’s Mobile Network. Provided support, trouble shoots, resolves hard ware (HW), soft ware (SW), and FW problems and provides proper tracking mechanism. Support, coordinate and manage all actions with Base Station System (BSS) staff. Assists the Assistant Manager Implementation to further develop the implementation methodology in order to enhance and tackle all the obstacles that may occur in the project during the implementation process. Ensure implementation contractor compliance with terms and conditions of implementation contracts and delivery of service to required standards. Provides reports, make standard reports and tailor make them where necessary. Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.

The Requirements:
    Bachelor degree in Engineering (Telecommunications) or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
    Excellent experience in Siemens Microwave ( SRAL) equipment  commissioning and acceptance
    Knowledge of the GSM standards
    Knowledge of transmission systems: microwave, fibber, leased line, PCM
    Knowledge of signalling (SS7)
    Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word etc.
    Good command of both written and verbal Arabic and English
