Required Officer - Gulf Bank in Kuwait

To process all swift messages for Corporate customers as per the predefined transactional procedures.

Education / Qualifications:
    Vocational Diploma in General / Office Administration.

Knowledge:
    Good understanding of banking procedures, international guidelines

Experience:
    0 - 2 years of communication (telex, fax, mail room handling)

Generic & Specific Skills:
    MS Office proficient
    Bilingual in English and Arabic
    Efficient money laundering and forged document understanding
    Ability to multitask and perform under work pressure.
    Ability to grasp information quickly (yellow pages, business directory, etc)

Accountabilities:

Processing Corporate Telexes
    Receive in hard copy the swift messages from various GBK departments and branches.
    Prepare electronically typed messages from the hard copy swift messages.
    Grade the swift messages, provide for the verification of the Senior Officer prior to sending them to required destination.

Verification and Document Control:
    Ensure all swift messages are reviewed and verified by the Senior Officer to avoid any delays and gaps.

Document Filing and Disposal:
    Ensure all documents related to swift messages are filled and archived.
    Follow procedures of document disposal as defined by the department and as approved by the Manager.

Corporate Governance:
    Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
    Confirm to risk policies and procedures to minimize the error ratios and customer frauds.
    Comply to Basel II framework for all banking operations.
    Comply to Anti – Money laundering policies and ensure they are up-to-date on all existing and new updates.
