EPC-Commissioning Manager (Water & Waste Water, Sewage Pumping Station)

To manage a team of “Deputy Project Managers - Commissioning” working in Multi Water and Waste water Treatment Projects and Main Pumping Stations Projects. The “Deputy Project Manager - Commissioning” to manage commissioning and start-up activities of the water & waste water project and maintain technical standards. To supervise commissioning and start-up activities on the project and plan and direct start-up engineering assignments on the project(s) including undertaking the technical responsibility for interpretation, organizing, executing, and co-coordinating these assignments.

1. To plan, develop, co-ordinate and direct start-up activities for the water & waste water project. Provide start-up assistance at the job site.
2. To assist with the identification of hand over systems and the establishment of priorities and sequence of completion.
3. To review during the construction phase the status of testing and punch listing to ensure systems are turned over to commissioning and start-up in a smooth, safe and efficient manner.
4. To interface with Client’s operation staff and keep them informed of system completion status.
5.To supervise, co-ordinate and review the work of assigned engineers, estimate staffing needs and schedules, and assign work to meet completion dates.
6. To prepare or direct the preparation of operations manuals.
7. To ensure that work being performed is within scope of services and within budget.
8. To input to project management, engineering, and construction to ensure start-up requirements are incorporated into water & waste water project activities, including review of project designs and construction to ensure plant operation and operating personnel safety.
9. To co-ordinate with client representatives to obtain approval on work as it is accomplished.
10. To review and approve key start-up methods, procedures, and schedules on assigned waste & waste water project(s).
11. To perform personnel evaluations for personnel supervised and ensure that they receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.
12. To make contact with client management at key points throughout projects to ensure that start-up aspects are meeting client requirements.
13. To regularly review and appraise the structure of the start-up organisation, in terms of its ability to meet short and long term objectives, and institute appropriate changes.
