Required Expert In Business Continuity - Application Integration - UNDP

Education:
    Minimum requirement is Bachelor Degree in Science; Master Degree in Technology Management is an advantage. Priority given to nationals

Experience:
    Minimum of 15 years of proven practical experience in management of IT related projects ;
    Managed IT departments in government and private sector institutions.
    Experience in Kuwait or GCC is preferred.
    Have working experience in research and development projects.
    Have management experience in government and private sector.
    Led implementation of IT related projects.
    Excellent management, negotiation and communication and interpersonal skills;
    Proven experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery plan.
    Proven experience in designing and implementing applications integration strategy.
    Proven experience in designing and implementing of  IT international standards
    Proven experience in designing and implementing organizational computing infrastructure for government and privet sector organization
    Proven experience in e-authentication .
    Experience in developing IT project proposals.
    Ability to administer budgets, train and work effectively with counterpart staff at all levels and with all groups involved in the project;
    Strong drafting, presentation and reporting skills;
    Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point,  etc.)

The State of Kuwait in coordination with UNDP strives to enhance institutional capacities at various government agencies in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development. In this context, the Information Systems Center within the SCPD seeks after a high level consultancy, and to recruit an expert to assist in developing best practices in Business Continuity and Application Integration under the auspices of the Kuwait-UNDP Cooperation Framework.

Objectives:
    Develop a Business continuity plan
    Oversee implementation of the Business Continuity plan
    Continues assessment of plan efficiency
    Propose  enhancement and upgrades for the plan
    Study the overall applications structure in the SCPD
    Develop an integration plan of applications and associated databases
    Be responsible for preparing and submitting achievements reports to UNDP on a quarterly basis
    Manage and monitor the project risks initially identified and submit new risks to the project board for consideration and decision on possible actions if required and update the status of these risks by maintaining the project risks log;
    Liaise with the implementing partner, UNDP, and beneficiaries related directly to the project;
    Ensure the viability of all activities under this specific project;
    Strengthen the capacity of all relevant staff in functions related to project management.
