The Australian College of Kuwait (ACK), located in West Mishref, is a privately owned, rapidly growing organisation of 200+ staff and 2500 students. ACK is licensed by the Private Universities Council in Kuwait to provide internationally recognised and accredited Diploma and Degree qualifications in Engineering, Aerospace and Business programs. Intensive English Language and Foundation programs are also offered at ACK.
Applications are invited from qualified and experienced individuals to fill the newly created position of Lab and Workshop Technician. This position reports directly to the Head of Engineering Studies and provides technical support to instructors in the degree and diploma programs.
The essential qualifications and experience for this position are as follows:
• A diploma or degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
• Experience in maintenance for machinery.
• More than 5 years experience working in an workshop environment
o Operate electric drill
o Operate lathe
o Operate milling machine
o Operate band saw
o Operate guillotine
o Welding: oxy, electrical, plasma
• Very good in OHS, maintain the safe workplace
• Working in shifts; morning and afternoon
• Motivated and show initiative
The ideal candidate will be reliable with excellent personal presentation and good communication skills.
