Required Executive Assistant - Vice President Student Affairs - American University of Kuwait - AUK

Under the Direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the purpose of this job is to perform and/or oversee a variety of associated administrative, fiscal, staff support and planning activities, some of which require advanced or specialized knowledge and skills, such as budget, equipment, facilities and inventory management, specialized record keeping and database management, student information system and/or specified information gathering projects and tasks.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree is required;
    Five years administrative experience required.
    Two years administrative experience supporting a senior executive required.
    Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.

Skills
    Computer Competence
    Database Management Skills: Optimally managing database programs.
    Microsoft Applications Skills: Proficiency on all Microsoft products
    Organizational Skills: Working in a methodical and logical manner to manage priorities, deadlines, and workload to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner and to meet deadlines.
    Records Management Skills: Sorting and retrieving data.
    Telephone Skills: Using the telephone as a resource and tool including voice mail, answering, transferring, and managing phone calls effectively.
    Verbal Communication Skills:  the ability to communicate your thoughts effectively; to be able to effectively express or present ideas, opinions, objections, emotions, directions, dissatisfaction and
    Writing Skills:  Preparing error-free written material that follows generally accepted rules of style and form.
    The ability to deal with interruptions throughout the workday.
