General Manager - Honeywell

To lead, develop and grow the establishment of Honeywell entities in Kuwait, to a point where it meets predetermined performance and business results that signify the self sufficiency of the respective entity. To ensure that the organization is able to achieve its strategic growth objectives through efficient use of available resources and entrepreneurial work practices.

Education Required
    Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration or related field

Work Experience Required
    Experience working at GM level (10-15 years)
    Fundamental understanding of sales, marketing, engineering and business development
    Interaction with state-owned enterprises, including political and policy makers, contracting, subcontracting, integrators, specifiers and end users
    Interaction with local entities, including agents, Joint Ventures and consortium partners
    Experience managing negotiations, specifically supply contracts, ventures, and structuring commercial arrangements preferred
    Experience with the implementation of growth, new business development and marketing initiatives that lead to stronger market penetration
    Experience in marketing and or selling complex one-Honeywell solutions (desirable)
    Experience in working with multiple Honeywell functions (desirable)

Responsibilities
1)     Develop and implement Kuwait’s short, medium and long term priorities in accordance with the business AOP and STRAP, in order that it is appropriately focused and resourced to enable the business to achieve top level performance in all areas
2)     Operationalize Honeywell’s presence in Kuwait, including but not limited to:
a.     Establishment of legal entities in compliance with local laws and regulations and Honeywell policy
b.    Creation of Honeywell facilities to meet the requirements of the local business, while also meeting Honeywell legal, government relations, security, HSE, IT, Global Real Estate and Human Resources requirements
c.     Ensuring on-going management of facilities and compliance to local regulations
3)     Lead initial business development and sales activities in Kuwait with a focus on the following:
a.     Creating executive relationships within the relevant government departments and key customers
b.    Cooperating with local, host region and global sales organizations in order to identify and provide the correct resources to accounts and specific sale opportunities
c.     Ensure full compliance to Honeywell policies and procedures
4)     Work closely with the President of HGR - Russia, Middle East and Central Asiain order to provide relevant input into the Kuwait STRAP and AOP and provide regular reports that detail the performance of the countries.
5)     Partner with the Kuwait HR Leader to proactively provide information on future staffing requirements and aid in the recruitment and retention of staff.
6)     Work proactively with the other SBU’s and cross functions in order to identify and plan and resources required to meet the business goals and customer requirements.
7)     Provide guidance and assistance to other Honeywell SBU’s with a focus on establishing one-Honeywell entities in Kuwait.
