Minimum Requirements:
• High school degree or equivalent
• Minimum three years of relative experience performing as a Food Service Cook
• Must currently hold an active security clearance at the Secret Level or higher
• Must be a US citizen and possess or be able to attain a valid CDL driver’s license and passport
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English. (All contractor personnel engaged in maintenance, food preparation and food serving shall speak and understand English)
• Must pass medical requirements testing and be willing to live and operate in a military contingency environment
• Must meet the host nation employment standards and US Military operational security requirements
• Willingness to live and work on overseas U.S. military base
• Must be available for deployment and assignment within two weeks of receiving offer
Managers and supervisors shall satisfy one of the following requirements within the past 4 years:
• Satisfactorily complete the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association Course in Applied Food Service Sanitation
• Pass an examination from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) showing satisfactory completion of the Food Protection Certification Program
• Satisfactorily complete an accredited course of study in Food Safety and Sanitation that is approved by the Installation Medical Authority
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

URS IE, located in Panama City Beach Florida is currently supporting the USAF/USMC in ongoing efforts in the state of Kuwait. This is an AFCAP task order to provide Services at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait. The project is a new requirement at Al Jaber AB which operates as a ‘Warm Base’ but is being turned on in some capacity. Services provided under this Task Order include Facility OM&R (Structures, Fire Alarms, HVAC, etc.), Sand Control out at the MSA, Facility Management, Custodial Services, Refuse Collection, Wastewater Removal, Security Monitors (for TCN subcontractors), Customer Service Desk, Power Production, Locksmith, Washer/Dryer Maintenance, Pest Management, Pool Operations and Maintenance, Gym Equipment Maintenance, DFAC Services, and Water Delivery.
The Food Service Cook shall maintain all resources, supplies, services, utilities, equipment, tools, labor, etc. to continuously operate turnkey full food service facilities (with the exception of any Government Furnished Property (GFP) indicated herein) in support of AFCENT and MARCENT Forces at Al Jaber Air Base. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed above.
