Required Manager Roaming - Wataniya Telecom - Qtel, Kuwait

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading Telco firm in this region.  You will plan and manage the marketing activities and the team responsible for Roaming products as they move from concept stage to technical and commercial readiness, enabling us to be market leader in Core Products.

Requirements:
    Have worked within a major Telco Company in Europe, USA, GCC
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Experience negotiating with vendors, contractors and operators.
    Strong project management and organisational skills.
    A structured and strategic mindset.
    Demonstrated acumen in understanding the industry and its trends
    Effective verbal/written communication in English.
    Experience creating presentations / reports.
    Innovative and creative thinker.
    Degree in business management, MIS, or engineering or equivalent skills are required.
    Project Management Certification is preferred
    Sound knowledge of the GSM & emerging mobile services and products.
    Excellent overall knowledge of the telecommunications field and overall knowledge of Product Life Cycles.

Responsibilities:
    Work with Management, Core Products on the vision and Roadmap for Roaming products and define the customer segments for each product group.
    Oversee and collaborate with the Pricing and Business Case team for estimating Roaming costs and revenues
    Collaborate with Business Intelligence (BI) on analysing customer behaviour on Roaming services usage.
    Manage the inter-operator tariff agreement and inter-connection agreements.
    Manage the life cycle of existing Roaming products and services to increase their attractiveness for customers.
    Provide the documentation for Roaming products at every stages of a product’s life cycle and recommend changes if needed.
    Follow-up and propose improvements and changes for the existing Roaming products and services.
    Partner with Advertising, Product Development, Sales and Technology to evaluate, plan, and deliver new services.
    Conduct presentations on products and services documentation to superiors as required.
    Work closely with Voice and Data teams to propose complete offers addressing all customer needs.
    Responsible for promotions related to the acquisition of new customers, and promotions related to stimulation of usage, associated with their assigned product group.
    Ensure Roaming products and services are continuously being updated by observing the latest trends, organising, feedback from customers and analysing market research provided by BI.
    Ensure that all products are presented with a business case that shows profitability of the product as well as any related acquisition cost.
    Proactively manage and motivate the team to be highly professional and results oriented.
    Work to improve employee performance through personal coaching and identifying training and development needs.
    Ensure Individual Development Plans (IDP) are completed for all staff in accordance with Wataniya Telecom policy.
    Conduct annual performance appraisals and ensure objectives set are monitored and achieved.
