Required Expert In Governance And Public Sector Reforms - UNDP

EXPERT IN GOVERNANCE AND PUBLIC SECTOR REFORMS - STATE MINISTER FOR PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT AFFAIRS

The expert shall effectively participate in capacity building efforts and restructure development studies in various areas of public sector reforms, governance and related work in the SCPD. Among said tasks, the candidate will:
    Provide technical assistance in all aspects of public sector reforms and governance issues akin to policy advice at high and medium level management.
    Provide studies, reports and position papers in various public sector and developmental issues.
    Provide advice on quality control of development studies.
    Capacity building of national cards in the area of development work.
    Provide consultancy in activating the link and integration work between the outputs of the various departments at SCPD and the requirements of high quality developmental work.

Education:
    PHD in economics or related discipline.

Experience:
    Significant experience in the economic policy, with demonstrated experience in planning techniques and development indicators

Functional Competencies:
    Lead teams effectively and show conflict resolution skills.
    Consistently approach work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.
    Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
    Knowledge of up-to-date statistical, qualitative and quantitative analysis software.
    Build strong relationships with GSSCPD and external parties.

Core Competencies:
    Demonstrates integrity by modelling the UN’s values and ethical standards;
    Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of UNDP;
    Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
    Treats all people fairly without favouritism;
    Fulfill all obligations to gender sensitivity and zero tolerance for sexual harassment.
