Required Media / Communications Expert - UNDP

Education:
    Master degree in journalism and communication;
    Practitioner in the area of social media;
    Significant experience in GCC and Kuwait in particular is a plus.

Experience:
    Minimum 10 years of experience in the communications field.
    Good experience with computers, electronic networks and software used for communication purposes (i.e. Websites, electronics bulletin, etc).
    Good experience with new media.
    Practical experience working with the organizations/ private sector/communities in implementing development related projects/activities;
    UNDP experience in relevant projects is a privilege;
    Significant experience in GCC and Kuwait in particular is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
    Provide technical support as requested by the beneficiary;
    Submit a framework for public awareness campaigns intended to serve the state in relevant development areas;
    Audit reports for accuracy, verifications, and quality in addition to editing said documents textually in both Arabic and English. Conduct on-job Training (OJT) for the beneficiary's staff with the aim of raising skills and proficiencies adequate to fulfill the required standards of delivery quality and distinction;
    Prepare and design all relevant publications, including brochures, reports and newsletters. Ensure the timely and effective management of the communication activities as scheduled;
    Assist in the preparation of the progress reports and final reports reflecting communication results, lessons learned and dissemination strategy.

Expert's outputs:
    Quarterly report on the progress made on the on OJT ( On –Job- Training);
    Qualitative studies at the request of the beneficiary Final reports with recommendations for future action.

    Excellent public speaking and presentation skills;
