Protection Engineer - Siemens

Responsible for execution of projects which may include installation, testing, Commissioning and maintenance of protection equipment up to 300KV in best quality and to the satisfaction of the client.

    Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronics discipline.
    5 - 10  years professional experience in maintenance, testing, commissioning of protection relays for HV/ MV/ LV switchgears, transformers etc
    At least 5 years practical experience of testing, commissioning and maintenance of all types of protection equipment in MV/ HV substations.
    Has international onsite experience

responsibilities?
    Execute the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of protection relays for HV/ MV/ LV switchgears, transformers etc.
    Manage the work force at site for his/her group and controlling and monitoring  their performance at site
    Preparation of technical reports, test sheets, failure report in coordination with site engineer and client
    Proper understanding of complete protection scheme of substation prior to start the testing work
    Proper monitoring of spare parts, tools & equipment, consumables etc., for further procurement if necessary.
    Carry out yearly calibration of all testing equipment.
    Coordinate with BM--with regard to all site activities, it's progress and completion.
    Monitoring the performance of each site staff for yearly evaluation purpose by HR.
    Adherence to safety regulations and coaching for all site staffs
