· Manages and supervises maintenance staff by delegating task & schedules; visits work sites to inspect work progress and completion.
· Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
· Procures materials, control of material issue and its use on the job and to keep their consumption record by way of work order. Keeps inventory of all materials procured Vs issued and balance.
· Reviews quotations from contractors and supervise the bidding process.
· Interacts with client and technical committee in resolving issues, maintains effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management and client to effectively meet departmental objectives.
· Arranges daily/weekly meetings with section heads to monitor progress of the maintenance works
· Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
· Checks and approve payments for external contractors, follow up on payments. Maintain Time and quality of all customer requests.
· Assists to prepare annual maintenance budget,
· Responds to emergencies as requested, coordinates activities with other responders, directs the work of staff and utilization of resources to effective repair and ensure the safety of the facility.
Job Requirements :
· Bachelor in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical)
· Minimum 10-12 years of experience directly related to position responsible.
· Excellent communication skills in English.
· Knowledge of safety & preventive maintenance procedures.
· Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, Fire fighting, refrigeration, electrical systems & building maintenance.
· Knowledge of budgeting & planning would be added advantage.
