Required Database Administrator - CGI

Duties include, but are not limited to: performance tuning, database backup and recovery, maintenance of database replication, planning and support for database and software releases and updates, analysis of the impact of updates, data upkeep and validation, writing and execution of scripts to facilitate input and output of data, writing and execution of queries on the database, server maintenance and product support in a fast-paced environment. Individual should have strong SQL skills, to include experience in creating and troubleshooting triggers and stored procedures, and experience supporting production databases in a Windows environment.

- Be Drug Free.
- Experience managing databases.
- Knowledge of microsoft operating systems.
- Knowledge of Internet Information Services.
- Familiarity with Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work.
- Ability to perform scanning and database plan management input.
- Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Security+ Certification or must be able to obtain within six months.
- Secondary Computing Environment Certification's (MCTS, etc) or be able to obtain them within six months.
- Ability to successfully complete the CGI Federal Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
- Candidate must be able to obtain required US Government and or (list country) Government background checks.

Certain operations may require the individual to lift and move computer and other equipment of approximately 50 lbs in weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded. The individual must be able to perform duties in extreme weather (dusty, arid, high and low temperature). The location is in an austere environment. Travel may also be required to support contingency military operations in remote/austere physical environments. Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under and behind furniture. Additionally, the position will call for the employee to climb onto military equipment and or vehicles to engage in data validation.
The individual is required to be in good health and be able to pass medical examinations as dictated by the U.S. Army.

Additional Requirements: Position requires 3 years of related database experience as well as the ability to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills & abilities. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is strongly desired. Security clearance preferred. Working knowledge of US Army Property Accountability procedures desired.
