Role Purpose
The Junior Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and closely following up on the confirmed shipments ensuring availability of items/services as per set business operating schedules and timetable.
Key Accountabilities
Receive, review and process timely shipping and delivery documentations from suppliers, forwarders,clearing agents and insurance companies.
Follow up, internally, with the local logistics teams and the Commercial department on internal shipments and, externally, with forwarders, clearing agents, insurance brokers and suppliers on all issues related to external shipments.
Receive/follow up on execution of item requests to ensure they are properly shipped, cleared, insured and distributed in accordance to set business requirements.
Set up and keep up-to-date a database of local, national and international forwarders and suppliers ensuring records’ accuracy.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent technical degree (TS).
1 year of experience in a similar field.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Fluency in English.
Strong understanding of Logistics systems and countries regulations.
