Required Web Design Manager eCommerce - M.H. Alshaya

The Design Manager must provide leadership to a team of web designers and assumes responsibility for hands-on creative work and/or outsourcing as required.

You will have/be:
    5-7 years' experience in eCommerce web designing, creativity and development (ideally in the retail sector).
    High street retail experience
    Had exposure to eCommerce at an operational level, from concept/initiative to delivery and implementation.
    Able to manage a large team.
    Multiple brand experience in different countries.
    Culturally sensitive.
    Creativity, organization, prioritization and management skills.
    Analytical, design and development skills.
    Ability to motivate and influence team and individuals.
    Good presentation skills.
    Strong interpersonal/networking skills.
    A good understanding of competitive positioning, management of commercial processes and maximization of business opportunities
    User centered design, usability testing, information architecture, copy management, visual design, UAT.
    Educated to degree level
    Knowledge of key web design, navigation and flow.
    Able to understand how development and design integrate using JScript, PHP, XHTML, CSS and other web languages.

You will:
    Attend briefings and weekly creative reviews to brainstorm and provide feedback on business objectives and GUI considerations.
    Communicate brand standards to web designers as required, approve logo usage and graphic standards on all produced materials
    Liaise with other creative functions to ensure consistent brand identity, graphics standards and messaging for all produced designs.
    Communicate company values, objectives, initiatives and results regularly.
    Ensure the execution of ongoing status updates, performance management and formal reviews as per departmental standards and Viewpoint impact plans.
    Provide training and development for all team members.
    Foster a positive work environment and assist co-workers and direct reports.
    Follow company policies and procedures and identify and bring issues forward.
    Contribute to managing overall costs by minimizing expenses and by finding improved and innovative methods to reduce costs.
    Communicate regularly with co-workers and managers regarding goals held in common, troubleshooting potential problems before productivity is affected.
