We are actively seeking to hire a Logistics Supervisor for our group of companies. You will be in charge of building up a new group department to coordinate all logistics tasks within our subsidiaries, consolidate logistical procedures and create new processes and procedures in order to increase efficiency and profitability in all aspects of:
- Shipping
- Importing
- Exporting
- Warehousing
- Stock Control
- Supply Chain Management
After successful implementation you could be promoted to the position of Group Logistics Manager, heading a team of specialists to be hired over the next 12 months. Your job role will be in detail, but not limited to:
• Implement, coordinate and follow up the vehicles, tires and parts shipment & stocking functions as per ordering requests.
• Coordinate with shipment arrival, stockyard preparation, vehicles movement & allocation, traffic procedures, vehicles showroom delivery, and enforce all procedures & process to be finalized on time.
• Follow up the communication between suppliers & the company to ensure of timely delivery as inquiry.
• Follow up shipment arrival appointment in port as per schedule, ensure for receiving all vehicles properly as per the ordering requests “Quantity & models “
• Insures proper documentation, including transit documents and customs clearances, exists for shipments. Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, forwarders, customers and agents in a timely manner.
• Prepare all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, PODs, etc.) as .
• Direct, coordinate and review the work plan for the Logistics, import, export formalities; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities and projects; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work, methods and procedures.
• Coordinate with concerned department for sold vehicles, tires and parts readiness, follow up the movement lines from stockyard area to showroom delivery section safely and in timely manner, and recommend proper actions towards accidents or damages accordingly.
• Initiate new systems to facilitate the workflow of vehicles logistical cycle as business needs.
• Develops standardized process for clients assigned to group including SOP, KPIs, report requirements, system’s needs, and compliance requirements. Liaisons with other support groups to ensure processes are established. Provides training and handoff to team to ensure they are properly servicing customers based on established requirements.
• Responsible for resolving all internal and external client customer service issues in a cost effective and expeditious manner. Works closely with client’s representatives to ensure service satisfaction. Analyzes service failures/issues and implements performance improvement processes to enhance future service delivery.
• Transferrable Kuwait residency status is a must.
• At least five years of experience in the same field.
• Excellent computer and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook).
• Warehousing/Inbound & Outbound Logistics Knowledge.
