The duties and responsibilities of a Storekeeper include shipping and
receiving goods, issuance of stock and inventory control and also
involve physical work and good
housekeeping practices. The Storekeeper inspects the materials before
receiving and reports it and then takes proper action to put the
materials in store. The storekeeper also gathers information about the
vendors and verifies the receipt and issuance of materials. The
storekeeper will follow all QA & HACCP practices including vendor
inspections and reviews.
Main Responsibilities:
1.Ensure all aspects and processes of his department are established, maintained and continuously improved. Monitor the daily material stocks & consumption, material availability and anticipate shortages; redundant and slow moving items
2. Check all Warehouses status to ensure that cleanliness, quality needs and safety regulations are met at all times.
3. Control physical material transactions from/to w/h and ensure that the stock in the system is updated
4.Ensure that a physical inventory of all materials is being performed monthly and submit report to Manager.
5. Ensure the implementation of safety and security measures in the warehouse premises.
6.Inventory management.
7.Proper records of all stocks movements are achieved thereby ensuring reliable data is proved.
8.Stocks to be supplied in a timely fashion to the retail locations.
9.Ensure adequate Health & Safety and Food Storage principles are followed in line with QA program.
10. Store keeper will liaise and communicate with fellow co-workers, Chefs and Kitchen Brigade, floor management.
