Required Senior Architect - M.H. Alshaya

The Senior Architect (Infrastructure) role is to strategically design and implement in-house information systems and networked architectures that support core organizational functions and assure their high availability. This includes planning and life cycle management, integration and standards as well as overall ongoing systems management around availability, performance and capacity, security to drive efficient and effective IT systems to meet the business needs.

You will:
    Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems and software.
    Provide architectural expertise, direction and assistance to Business Solution Managers, Project Managers, Software Developers and Operational Support teams.
    Develop, document and communicate plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
    Where applicable, design, develop and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
    Document the existing systems architecture and technology portfolio and make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
    Develop and manage a capacity plan as required to meet needs of the business globally.
    Develop, document, communicate and enforce a policy for standardizing systems and software as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:
    A degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems (Master’s degree preferred).
    Certification in several technologies mandatory and certification in TOGAF desirable.
    At least 7 years' work experience.
    Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans with proven experience in systems and network implementations.
    In-depth technical knowledge of several systems especially in a highly heterogeneous environment with working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
    Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices.
    Proven project planning and management experience.
    Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
    Superior written and oral communication skills.
    Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills.
    Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
    The ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
    The ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
    Able to prioritize and execute tasks effectively and efficiently with a high level of quality in a high-pressure environment.
    Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    The ability to deliver consistently on time-based commitments in high-pressure environments.
