As Category Manager you will contribute to the success of the brand
by defining the tactical and strategic direction of product lines
within each category in accordance with the international and regional
product calendars.
Your main responsibilities include but are not limited too:
Creating and managing financial operating category plan.
Creating positioning strategy for category based on competitive and market-place strategic assessment.
Understanding of competitive market-place to project potential threats to category creating positioning strategy for product categories.
Managing the product lines through their life-cycles: core, seasonal and promotional.
Leading the development of new product concepts from conception through implementation.
Working with Supply Chain to ensure integration of planning, forecasting, forward buying and inventory management of product lines.
The ideal candidate will be/have:
At least 3 years' experience in Category Management within food retail/FMCG
Experience of buying and implementing new product lines worldwide
Preferable prior experience in fine food buying
Effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills
Progressive experience of product or brand management with P&L responsibility.
Excellent analytical skills
Advanced Excel skills
