• The Gymnasium Instructor should be able to assist the Recreation Manager in the over-all operations of the Recreation Department.
• He/ she should be able to provide help, initiate and assist with specific detail to the physical fitness regimen of all Guests & Members.
• Showing special attention to safety, cleanliness, over all health and well being.
• Making their fitness experience one that will not be forgotten.
Requirements:
• Graduate of Physical Education and Sport
• Previous experience necessary ( minimum 1 year)
• Develop personal training plans
• Group exercise expertise
• Deliver exercise classes
• Assist clients in setting and achieving fitness targets
• Assist clients in attaining their weight loss or a healthy lifestyle target
Duties and Responsibilities –
1. Handle fitness appointments in the gymnasium, giving accurate appraisals and effective safe advice in all areas of cardiovascular & strength training.
2. Have a good under standing of human anatomy, biomechanics & exercise physiology.
3. Be able to confidently conduct personal training sessions, with professionalism, safety and direction.
4. Analyze Guests & Members fitness levels accurately and regularly keeping up to date files and revue as required.
5. Demonstrate accurate, confidently and effective exercise programs
6. Lead exercise programs and classes with exuberance, flair and imagination.
7. Create and supervise other activities for groups as required.
8. Recognize and acknowledge all Guests & Members to encourage a friendly, welcoming and social atmosphere, which promotes good health & well-being.
9. Keep gym area and equipment maintained, clean and safe for use at all times.
10. Promote sales of the pro shop, fitness classes, lessons, activities and other services.
11. Be fully aware & conversant of all Recreation Department rules & Regulations as well as all hotel policies.
12. Exercise regularly to maintain ideal weight and size to be a role model
13. To assume other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
14. Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS legislation
15. Take moral and legal responsibility for conducting themselves in their work so they do not expose themselves or others to risk
