RESEARCH SCIENTIST (AGRICULTURE ECONOMICS)
Major duties:
• Developing business plans for Agriculture Research Station (ARS) to utilize animal & plants production for income generation.
• Developing cost/benefits analysis for Agriculture & Biodiversity projects.
• Assisting in marketing of projects related to Agriculture and Biodiversity.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have Ph.D. in Agriculture Economics, Agronomy or related field of study with a minimum 10 years of R&D experience. Strong leadership, ability to attract research funding, project management and staff training are highly desirable.
RESEARCH SCIENTIST (AGRICULTURE ENGINEERING)
Major duties:
• Developing plans for irrigation/drainage systems at ARS.
• Responsible for implementation & management of the irrigation/drainage systems at ARS and Water Front sites.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have Ph.D. in Agriculture Engineering, Agriculture or related field of study with a minimum 10 years of R&D experience. Strong leadership, ability to attract research funding, project management and staff training are highly desirable.
RESEARCH SCIENTIST (PLANT PROTECTION/ENTOMOLOGY)
Major duties:
• Assessing insect population at ARS.
• Developing plant protection plan & pest control management for ARS.
• Assisting Agriculture & Biodiversity programs in Integrated Pest Management tasks.
• Developing project on bee management and honey production at ARS.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have Ph.D. in Plant Protection/Entomology or related field of study with a minimum 10 years of R&D experience in plant protection. Strong leadership, ability to attract research funding, project management and staff training are highly desirable.
