The Role::
Provide technical expertise, planning, design, and implementation Define capacity and functionality, in addition strategy planning of enterprise applications in line with Wataniya Telecom’s assumptions and growth plans, both strategically and as in roadmap. The Senior level will execute many of the same activities as the Junior and Mid level, but in addition, will typically work on more complex, larger and higher importance/impact projects. The Senior level will also typically be expected to deliver highly optimal results as a product of broader and deeper experience
Qualifications and Requirements::
•Responsible for Enterprise Applications new requirements implementation life cycle.
•Provide gap analysis against business requirements.
•Conduct feasibility studies.
•Evaluate different solutions/architecture is compliant with Wataniya Telecom security policies.
•Translate business requirements into technical designs.
•Ensure business requirements are implemented according to the best practices.
•Minimize customisations by explaining Enterprise Applications Vanilla functionality to business SMEs.
•Verify SIs scope of work and technical designs.
•Write test scenarios and test cases.
•Conduct system integration testing.
•Support UAT.
•Prepare for production deployments.
•Support post cutover design changes.
•Responsible for developing and or processing system scripts to be run either manually or automatically by the system.
•Responsible for the overall Enterprise Applications deployment architecture in Wataniya.
•Ability to design high available mission critical deployments includes Clustering and load balancing.
•Should support Enterprise Applications virtualization initiative using VMware or similar hypervisor.
•Troubleshooting and resolving Enterprise Applications performance issue.
•Plan Enterprise Applications new releases.
•Plan Enterprise Applications Patches.
•Technical lead for overall project communication between business and IT planning & technology operation
•Support HR Requirements.
•Support the implementation of HR business processes.
•Enable Customer 360 degrees view.
•Design integration with back end systems required for customer visibility and support
•Support finance requirements.
•Support the implementation of finance business processes.
•Enable Customer 360 degrees view.
•Design integration with back end systems required for customer visibility and support.
•Perform internal and external negotiations to achieve high levels of quality and maximal functionality in the technical solutions selected.
•Provide input and accountable at finalizing of yearly CAPEX targets with minimum of deviations during the course of the year.
•Perform inter-departmental functionalities, responsibilities and communications between the Technology and Business Teams within Wataniya Telecom for realizing strategic service/product launches.
•Provide guidelines on processes and document formulation within planning department for design, engineering and implementation aspects.
•Participate in seminars and conferences for gathering global insight into telecom technological and business strategies and utilize the gathered information for Wataniya Telecom’s benefit.
•Drive, design and implement documentation and progress reviews for all key developments and report to the Manager at regular management meetings.
•Serves as a focal point for new technologies, features and system upgrades / enhancements.
•Identify, quantify and follow up issues likely to cause risk to the applications and systems.
•Benchmarking the status of actual versus trends program and management.
•Produce project plans, resource plans, material cost plans and risk assessment on all technical projects.
•Evaluate and plan software capacity, licenses, and storages and security.
•Meet quality and performance KPI with supporting documents.
•Provide active support to other Wataniya Telecom departments and translate their needs to technical specs and architecture solutions.
•Provides reports, make standard reports and tailor make them where necessary.
•Provide and manage support on special projects as and when assigned by seniors and superiors.
•Assists the management in developing and implementing procedures and standards that will provide effective workflows.
•Responsible for developing cost analyses, design considerations, and implementation time-lines.
•Serve as a secondary back up for the members of other teams (as assigned by seniors and superiors).
•Provides input for the development of capital and operational budgets, ensuring adequate provision has been made for the funding of all planned activities.
•Build and design the disaster recovery site
•Contribute to the motivation of junior staff, providing day to day assistance where necessary
•Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
•Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science/ Telecoms / Communications / Electronics Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
•Advanced working knowledge of GSM and Enterprise applications. I.e. ERP Oracle applications, RA-FMS, archiving solutions, DMS, Java, web developments, experience and others.
•Knowledge of software development life cycle and project life cycle
•Hands-on experience in analysis and implementation of software
•Telecom industry knowledge would be an advantage
•Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word etc.
•Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage.
