Civil Engineer - URS Corporation

Minimum Requirements: 
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar field, and a minimum of 5 years of design experience (or 10 years of experience performing as a Site Manager or Construction Manager), and be capable of providing complete civil design services including: preparation of civil/site work drawings, structural designs, and water/sewer designs based on existing local utilities and facility load and use. This site work may be for new, renovation, or improvement type projects (electrical/power/lighting, utility, HVAC, fire suppression, etc.)
• Must have a secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen
• Must possess strong computer skills with the following; MS Excel, MS Word, AutoCAD, MS Project
• Must be able to live and work on an overseas military base
• Must be able to complete HAZMAT, hazardous communication, and hazardous waste training
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test 
Job Description: 
The IE Division of URS is actively seeking a Civil Engineer for employment on in an OCONUS project site. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in all phases of Civil Engineering. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The successful Civil Engineer shall compile and integrate the work of other disciplines into the project design documentation.
Design projects are related to a wide variety of facilities and infrastructure systems including: earthwork (airfield and roadway pavement systems); high and low voltage electrical systems; HVAC; water and sewage (plumbing); fire suppression; control and alarm systems, which will interface with other engineering specializations.
Will provide SOW, technical review of design calculations, costs estimates, analyses, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Will manage projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities utilizing a professional knowledge of engineering (airfield runways, utility systems, base utility plants, aircraft maintenance shop/hangers, recreational facilities, administrative offices, dormitories). Will oversee the work of construction contractors to ensure overall compliance with specifications and schedules.
