Required Coordinator Health / Safety - New Mowasat Hospital, Kuwait

The Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for providing specialist fire & safety advice to the Hospital and all its premises; ensures that the Hospital operates within specified legal requirements and develops actions plans under the guidance of P&F Manager. Performs a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical and professional work in analyzing and administering various components of the environmental, fire and safety programs.

Education :      Bachelors degree in safety management or related field preferred
Experience     5 years experience as a Fire or Safety Officer, preferably 2 years in healthcare facility


Extensive knowledge of control safety & health hazards engineering concepts, physical & chemical hazards as well as toxicological implications on human health. Comprehensive knowledge of safety control technologies, equipment and devices
Familiar with federal, state & local safety programs, safety codes & regulations, JCIA, & ACI
Administrative Skills:     Multi-tasking and Presentation skills
Soft Skills     Good communication and Inter-personal skills.
Computer Skills     MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
Language Skills:     Expertise in written and spoken English and Arabic
     
WORKING CONDITIONS
    Works in a hospital environment with exposure to various hospital components and hazardous elements.
    Prolonged standing/walking. Considerable reaching, stooping and lifting supplies/equipment.
    May experience work related pressure and be available to deal with departmental exigencies.
