Required Mechanical Technician P F - New Mowasat Hospital

The Mechanical Technician - P&F performs a variety of general, mechanical and preventive maintenance as well as inspections, servicing and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the Hospital.

Education :      Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience :     2 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a health care setting.
Other Skills
Technical Skills :     Demonstrates utility of instruments, tools and equipment in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing Hospital equipment and systems

Calm, Cooperative and Self-Motivated
Soft Skills :     Fair Communication and Inter-personal skills
Language Skills:     Good in written and spoken English , Arabic is an advantage
     
WORKING CONDITIONS
    Works in a hospital environment with exposure to various hospital components and hazardous elements.
    May require working in inadequate lighting and restricted movement. May get exposed to air contamination, extreme temperatures and intense noise.
    Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching

RESPONSIBILITIES
    Maintains established Department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance and safety
    Uses hand tools, power tools and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery equipment.
    Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment’s such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes and various types of rotating equipment.
    Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose problems.
    Performs maintenance, repair or replacement of broken parts.
    Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to its sound to locate the cause of trouble.
    Lubricates and cleans equipment.
    Starts devices to test their performance.
    Monitors Medical gas network system and manifolds; reports to Manger- P & F in case of any alarms or system malfunction.
    Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
    Keeps work areas orderly, clean and safe.
    Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
    Maintains Department records, reports and files as required.
    Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
    Attends meetings as required.
    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
