Required Project Manager Support The General Secretariat - UNDP


The Project Manager (PM), will:
    Be responsible for the overall management of the project, including planning of activities,  mobilization of all project inputs, supervision of project staff, consultants and sub-contractors in the GSSCPD
    Be responsible for preparing and submitting financial reports to UNDP on a quarterly basis;
    Manage and monitor the project risks initially identified and submit new risks to the project board for consideration and decision on possible actions if required and update the status of these risks by maintaining the project risks log;
    Liaise with the implementing partner, UNDP, and beneficiaries related directly to the project;
    Ensure the viability of all activities under this specific project;
    Strengthen the capacity of all relevant staff in functions related to project management especially the financial and auditing functions.

Education:
    Minimum requirement is a Masters’ degree in project management and/or finance and accounting. A PHD degree in related fields is an advantage? Priority to nationals

Experience:
    Minimum of 10  years of proven practical experience in management of similar projects;
    A minimum of 5-3 years of experience in UNDP and for other international institutions project management;
    Experience in working with government institutions in GCC countries/Arab region and UN, is an added advantage;
    Excellent management, negotiation and communication and interpersonal skills;
    Ability to administer budgets, train and work effectively with counterpart staff at all levels and with all groups involved in the project;
    Strong drafting, presentation and reporting skills;
    Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Statistical Packages, etc.)
