Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Senior Software
Engineer (JAVA) is a product development expert responsible for the
design and construction of the software solution.
The responsibilities include:
Developing features across multiple subsystems within the application, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment.
Analysing business requirements and propose solution models.
Translating system requirements to task specifications for software engineers.
Creating high level and low level design documents including DFD, flowcharts, ER diagrams and various technical specifications.
Conducting code reviews and debugging of complex programs.
Optimising solutions for performance and accuracy.
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
3-6 years' of solid software development experience including leading small development teams is essential.
Extensive experience in Java/J2EE/Swing programming and web application development using GWT/GXT, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience in application Design and building wireframe.
Expert experience in database design, data modeling, DDL and DML for backend development on MySQL and Oracle databases.
Expert experience is developing web services and working with XML, JSON formats.
Extensive experience in Code version control systems and continuous integration systems.
Experience in Linux/Unix development experience.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases and mobile development will be an advantage.
