Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration or Marketing Management or equivalent years of exp.
Purpose of Interaction
• To conduct annual budgeting and periodic reviews and to set strategic direction, budget allocation and make key marketing decisions
• To review and approve all marketing and communication material in coordination with the business heads
• To develop, execute and coordinate marketing initiatives and other communication requirement
• To enhance industry knowledge and share best practices
Managerial Responsibilities:
•Forecasts department budgets in conjunction with the organizational budget and secures subsequent approval, tracks expenses and ensures adherence
•Finalizes the manning needs of the department and obtains requisite approvals
•Manages the team under the Marketing and Corporate Communications department by evaluating the performance of team members, provides feedback on an on-going basis, identifies development needs and coaches them to ensure on-going capability development
•Identifies training needs and organizes trainings for the department on various aspects on which the role holder has responsibilities
•Reviews assignment of staff to Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and, if necessary, revises accordingly
Core Responsibilities:
•Provides guidance in implementing campaigns consistent with organizational objectives and ensures long term objectives are kept in focus
•Supports building of and enhancing the corporate brand image of the organization among the current and prospective clients
•Implements the overall marketing strategy around key levers driving sales and business objectives
•Supports the VP Corporate Marketing in identifying vendors for specific services and developing relationships on behalf of URC
•Ensures adherence to the corporate brand guidelines (branding layout and display, media preference, media buying/planning norms, etc.) in all marketing initiatives
•Conducts brand valuations through customer, market and internal stakeholder studies to capture the brand’s performance and perception among the recipient base
•Cultivates relationships with key personnel in media organizations, and oversees the execution of media related activities
•Reviews material to be released in the public domain, including news announcements and press releases, and ensuring that URC’s corporate image is positioned in a manner consistent with the organization’s strategy and vision
Self-Management:
•Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role
•Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the EVP to ensure that the required training is arranged and attended
•Sets performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the EVP and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
