We, at Wataniya Telecom are recruiting for an experienced Core Planning Network Engineer. The main deliverables from the role are as follows,
a) Core network dimensioning which include the platforms like Media Gateways, Mobile switching systems, HLR etc. and associated network elements
b) Traffic modelling and engineering, traffic predictions and capacity provisioning
c) Monitoring of network performance, root cause analysis of KPI degradation. Core network optimisation to improve network performance.
d) All planning and engineering activities related to circuit core network
e) Production of work orders
f) Project management
Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.
The Person:
The person should be subject matter expert in circuit switch engineering, good knowledge and experience of packet switch platforms and technology would be considered as added value.
The person should have the ability to drive end-end activities of core network planning and engineering.
You will work well in a team as well as individually, possess project management skills and advanced technical skills.
The Requirements:
At least 6 to 10 years’ experience in switching field that may include Planning, Operation, or Solution design roles. At least 3-4 years of hand-on experience on network planning and design. The person must have at least 4 years of latest experience NSN circuit core elements.
Advanced working knowledge of GSM and UMTS networks
Telecom industry knowledge
Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage
Bachelor degree in Telecommunication / Electronic Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
