Working with the internal Sales, Brand & Trade Marketing team, the
role will provide category & customer insights that will help evolve
our business strategies for
market development. The role calls for intrinsic understanding and
ability to identify, define and analyze key category information,
customer risks and opportunities to provide the support necessary to grow our business.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Act as the category expert by delivering category best practice presentations that identify category opportunities for sales operations.
2. Coordinate “Fair Share of Shelf” support.
3. Develop plan-o-gram’s for each category & Brand mutually aligning the Brand and supplier team
4. Establish strong, multi-level working relationships with the assigned customers based on mutual trust and integrity.
5. Communicate and reinforce brand strategies & priorities to the Team.
6. Develop customer presentations, recommendations for new item introductions and plan-o-gram reviews.
7. Initiate & synchronize brand strategies/priorities with customer strategies for a win-win. Execute new product initiatives accordingly.
8. Complete customer category review process utilizing category analysis, shopper insights and available analytic tools.
9. Demonstrate expertise in category management and efficient assortment to the customer.
10. Provide recommendations for shelf placement for new items and existing products with an objective of securing distribution/placement that is mutually beneficial for AFC and the customer
11. Determine the effectiveness of category and competitive promotions through post-analysis, and make recommendations to the account.
12. Provide category management support for internal processes.
