The Network Associate will support the Network Team in areas of installations, maintenance, testing software, servers and maintaining the trouble ticket system to ensure effective and efficient coverage for internal client requests.
Key Accountabilities
• Contributes to the design, provisioning/deployment, and operations of local and wide area network • Manages IP space on divisional networks. • Carrying out day-to-day administration and monitoring network use • Participates in the development of standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data. • Administration and maintenance of company’s internal systems. • Configuration and set-up of all new server systems required internally for the company’s activities. • Firewall administration and overall responsibility for company IT security. • Administration of email servers for company-wide email.
Experience Required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a closely related field • An equivalent combination of education and experience • Certifications in Cisco routing and switching. • Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and Cisco IOS. • Knowledge of telephony systems, including Siemens and Cisco Unified Communications. • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including Cisco routers, switches, PIX's, and ASA, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, HTTP, RTP, DHCP, DNS, MPLS and Frame-Relay.
