The Documentation Officer co-ordinates and liaises all inbound imports activities post issuance of purchase order until delivery of shipments to the warehouse. Consequently the Documentation Officer co-ordinates with suppliers, shipping lines, transporters, customs to ensure high ‘on-time shipment’ delivery.

- Communication with suppliers:
- Provide shipping instructions and shipping schedules to suppliers based on plan provided by the Business Unit;
- Follow up with suppliers on shipment bookings;
- Follow up for copy/original documents;
- Communication with Shipping lines:
- Ensure shipping lines provide necessary equipment to suppliers;
- Check for ETA of sailed shipments;
- Customs Clearance:
- Follow up for original documents from BU and prepare clearance set;
- Open job files, register charges related to the job in the system and close files;
- Create shipment, inbound delivery and costs in SAP.
- Good General Education with University Degree;
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities;
- Excellent communicator in both oral and written English. Should be able to communicate with people from different nationalities. Basic Arabic communication skills required;
- Good knowledge of freight forwarding(sea).
